Twittering, Phone Numbers, Placenta Recipes, and Tundra

I have succumbed to Twitter.

When it was shown to me a couple months ago I saw it as a waste of time. Maybe I still see it that way, but its allure has finally sucked me in (Solitaire has the same effect on me actually.)

If you have an account, add me, I’ll return the favor!

I am compiling a phone list of people to call after the baby is born. If you want to be called email me your phone number (don’t forget the area code, or the country code if you are out of the US.)

I am posting this for the potential amusement (or disgust) of my friend with whom I just got off the phone with: Placenta Recipes.

You could totally cut this one with vodka, that might help ride you of the thoughts of your cocktails contents… I dare someone to name that potential mixed drink.

Before anyone gets any weird thoughts - I will not be eating my baby’s placenta.

I love Tundra.

Instant Messenger

Recently a few people have asked me why I never am on any instant messenger anymore.

A year or so ago I noticed I was chatting a lot, and by a lot I mean it seemed to be somewhat of an addiction. So I started limiting my time on messenger and I noticed that I suddenly had all this time to actually accomplish real life stuff and that it was also much easier to keep my life in order without the constant distraction.

I am not netfree by any means, it is a wonderful tool. I still keep up with some people through their blogs (I love rss feeds!), facebook and via email but beyond that I’ve pretty much completely cut messenger out of my life (when I do get on it is usually only for a few minutes to send Michael a link or to talk with my family.)

I realize some people might be annoyed at me because of this, but this is the best choice for my current life situation and it is not going to be changing any time soon.
